Mission:
Capital Planning and Project Management (CPPM) is responsible for the conceptualization, planning, design, and construction of capital improvement projects for the University of Minnesota. Capital Planning and Project Management utilizes both in-house and private sector services to meet the University’s design and construction needs. This strategy provides maximum flexibility to secure the most appropriate services to complete the client’s project. In addition to managing projects, CPPM staff develop financial strategies, negotiates and prepares construction agreements, oversees architectural design and environmental reviews, and coordinates staging plans and building department specification reviews. CPPM also makes arrangements to deliver final project records and as-built plans to the University repository for archiving.

TCF Bank Stadium
The building of a stadium on campus is a major undertaking. The project is slated to be completed after three years in multiple phases. While construction of the stadium structure itself won't begin until later this year, work has begun on the surrounding infrastructure, including adjacent roads and parking areas.
