Status Progress Reports for Bell Museum of Natural History

February 2008

Design Development is complete; in upcoming months, the project team will initiate Construction Documents pending legislative funding.

January 2008

Design Development phase is complete; contractor estimates were produced from drawings and fall within anticipated budget.

November 2007

The project team is progressing with intent to complete Design Development drawings and pricing before the end of the year.

August 2007

ESG Architects continue work on Design Development, reaching approximately 50% completion at this point. In addition, the project team has begun the search for an exhibit move specialist. Several of the intricate dioramas currently exhibited at the East Bank Bell Museum will potentially be relocated to the new facility.

July 2007

ESG Architects are focused on design development of the overall site and building including interior finishes. In addition, they are addressing design for the café, gift shop and office layouts/furniture selections.

June 2007

Schematic Design was complete at the end of June. Planning has moved into the design development phase, which is due to be completed at the end of September.

May 2007

Project is currently in Schematic Design Phase. Please check back soon for updates.
