This project will address various life safety and building asset preservation issues. A Facilities Condition Assessment team partnered with the University to develop a complete list of basic work required to make Northrop Auditorium safe, comfortable, and functional. The issues on the list represent the necessary work for Northrop to reclaim its rightful place as one of the University’s great buildings. For the purposes of the investigation, the team used the criteria of maintaining the current program within the confines of the existing facility. The ultimate determination of which work to pursue, and when, will be contingent on the University’s decision as to the future use of the building.
